Delightful Challenge Thursday – Cute and Cuddly!

Good morning, how’s it going? Hope everything is good with you.

So it’s Thursday again and that means we have a new challenge at the Delightful Challenge Blog and our theme this week is Cute and Cuddly!  Sort of self-explanatory really!! J

We are sponsored by
who are offering a terrific prize of a $10 store cert!

I chose to use the ‘so-cute-I-can't-stand-it’ Jubbly Dragon for my make this time.

Now this was the simplest design to put together! The backing card is from Hunkydory’s ‘Pearl Elegance’ kit and is a complete scene of a castle sat amongst pink hills (?) under a cloudy sky! I have had this card forever and did wonder how I was ever going to use it!  Then along came Jubbly Dragon and the card had purpose!!
So here is my dragon family! I printed off Jubbly Dragon 4 times in decreasing sizes to make a mum, a dad and 2 little ‘uns! I gave dad a bow tie, mum some pearl jewellery and the little girl a flower in her hair! The little boy didn't want any adornment. Cos he’s like totally too old for that stuff alright!!!

Don't look too closely at the perspective!  The kids on the ramparts of the castle would be massively bigger than their parents but work with me here!! Artistic license and all that!!J

Ingredients:
Dies: Spellbinders ‘Inverted Scalloped Circles’
Punches: Tonic small daisy
Paper/Card: Neenah Solar White – Hunkydory Pearl Elegance ‘Castle Scene’
Colouring/Ink: Spectrum Noir markers and pencils
Others: Pearls

So feel all warm and fuzzy and get yourself over to the Delightful Challenges Blog to see the wonderful inspiration created by the DT and don’t forget to visit the shop to ooh and awwww over Wendy’s wonderful cute and cuddly images!

Thanks so much for looking, and have a lovely day!
See ya!

Chocolate, Coffee & Cards – Dogs & Cats!

Hello, how are things? Good I hope!

So a new challenge starts today over at Chocolate, Coffee and Cards  and our theme this fortnight is Dogs & Cats! So pull out those doggy and kitty images and make us a card!

There is a fab prize on offer for the winner so check out the blog!

In light of the fact that I am a huge animal lover (I am mad enough to have 3 boisterous dogs) it seems odd that I have very few dog or cat images in my vast stamp collection! But there you go!  After extensive searching I had to stretch the theme a bit and use a recent purchase of mine Mara from Mo’s Digital Pencil!  I love, love, love her!

It is a bit ‘spot the dog’ I know but you have got to love that little mutt, she has such a great expression. To me she’s saying, ‘Is that a cat? I’m sure that’s a cat?  I’m off after that cat in a minute!” My dogs often have that expression!
The quote is one I found on the Internet which is just soooooo true! Although I don’t own any diamonds so it’s going to HAVE to be the dog!! J

Ingredients:
Stamps: Mara
Sentiment: Computer generated
Dies: None (shock horror!!)
Paper/Card: Neenah Desert Storm – others from stash
Colouring/Ink: Spectrum Noir pencils & blending solution
Others:  Gems
Hopeless Hand drawings: Dodgy Doodling and paw prints, which are obviously from a variety of pooches as they are all so different!!! J  J

So pick up that lead and walk Fido over to see what my clever teamies have done for this challenge and play along!

Thanks so much for looking and enjoy your day!
See ya!

Colourful hugs

Ingredients:
Dies: Spellbinders ‘Fancy Lattice’ – Heartfelt Creations ‘Delicate Asters’ – Tonic ‘Nesting Rectangles’ – Die’sire ‘Icicles’ (grass) – Tattered Lace (various foliage)

Cutie Pie Challenge – Shades of Autumn!

Hello, how are you keeping?

We have a brand new challenge at the Cutie Pie Challenge Blog  today and our theme this fortnight is Shades of Autumn!

We are sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps
and one lucky winner will win this wonderful prize!

Bugaboo very generously allowed the team to choose some images for this challenge and I chose to use Halloween Brat Pumpkin
So I went all spooky (well ish) and created a side stepper Halloween scene! I don’t have a pumpkin die so I made one from 3 oval die-cuts and drew a scary face on it that bears more than a passing resemblance to my boss!!! J I brayered my sky and dripped water on it to give the impression of a starry night but then realised I hadn't masked off my moon!! Doh!! So I cut one out instead and drew some bats on it! Necessity is the mother of invention!! J
I printed her off in grey as the ink kept running when I started to colour! Hate that!!

Ingredients:
Dies: Tattered Lace ‘Cabin’, ‘Mini Blooms’ (leaves) & ‘Beautiful Blooms (leaves) – Tonic ‘Nesting Ovals’ & ‘Nesting Circles’- Die’sire ‘Icicles’ (grass) – Spellbinders ‘Garden Gate’
Paper/Card: Neenah Solar White – American Crafts
Colouring/Ink: Spectrum Noir markers & pencils
Others: Big ‘n’ Juicy ‘Foliage’ ink pad to create the sky – peel offs
Hopeless Hand Drawing & Paltry Paper Piecing:  Bats – door - pumpkin

Creep on over to the Cutie Pies blog to see all the wonderful projects created by the amazing team.

Chocolate, Coffee & Cards – Vintage!

Hello, how are things? Me again!

I’m here to let you know that a new challenge starts today over on the Chocolate, Coffee and Cards Challenge Blog and our theme this fortnight is Vintage!

We are sponsored by the incredible
Who are offering a fabby prize!

Now I don’t really know how to ‘do’ vintage!  But as soon as I saw the gorgeous Lady Hat Bow I had an idea to do a vintage ‘scene’ so I think that counts!
I decided to make a dressing table and stool using SB Labels 1.  I cut a few of differing sizes and hacked them to bits to make up the various components including the legs! Once I had inked all the edges, added the ‘mirror’ ovals and stuck it together it would only fit onto and 8x8” card blank! The whole thing turned into a bit of a monster!!
Ingredients:
Dies: Spellbinders ‘Labels 1’ & ‘Floral Ovals’ – Tattered Lace ‘Ornate Leaves’
Paper/Card: Neenah Solar White – LOTV ‘Country Lady’ & ‘Timeless Victorian ‘- Kraft
Colouring/Ink: Spectrum Noir markers and pencils
Others: See-D stamps (mirror, brush, scent bottle, gloves, vase and folded scarf) – Martha Stewart paper clay and frame mould - pearls
Paltry Paper Piecing: Dressing table and stool

Look what my clever teamies have done on the blog and play along!

Thanks so much for looking and enjoy your day!

Delightful Challenge Thursday – Don’t Be Square!

Hello how is everyone? Well I hope!

Today we have a new challenge that coincides with a brand new release over at the Delightful Challenge Blog and our theme this week is Don't Be Square!  So no square cards please!

We are sponsored by
who are offering this terrific prize!
Wendy has created some fabulously spooky (but cutie) designs for the new release all of which can be found here.
I got to play with Hellius on Wheels, a speed crazy ‘daredevil’ who I envisaged jumping through a ring of fire! Not only that but instead of cars I thought he should jump over spiders watched by an appreciative group of pumpkin spectators!!

Yes...... it was probable unwise to stop taking the tablets!!!! J J
So I treated myself (I am so kind!!) to a Silhouette Portrait!! I know!! J J  Have to say I love it and so surprised how easy it is to use, even for a technophobe like me.  You may be pleased to hear that this COULD (only COULD mind you) be the end of Hopeless Hand drawings! Wipe away that tear right now!!
 Ingredients:
Dies: Tonic ‘Nesting Circles’ – La-La Land ‘Flag Banner’
Silhouette Cuts: Pumpkin spectators - spiders
Paper/Card: Neenah Solar White – American Crafts – random oddments from stash
Colouring/Ink: Spectrum Noir markers & pencils
Others: Acetate - Gems

Rev up and speed over to the Delightful Challenges Blog to see the amazing inspiration created by the DT and don’t forget to visit the shop for all your ‘too cute to spook’ digi needs!

Thanks so much for looking, always leaving such lovely comments, and have a wonderful day!
See ya!
