Digi Choosday Challenge – Anything Goes!

Good morning!  How is everyone, well I hope?

To be honest I don’t get on too well with an Anything Goes challenge.  I really prefer a theme to work to and without one I can get a bit stumped!!

So with that in mind I decided to show a project that I made ages ago for Nikky’s Create and Craft OCTAVIA FROSTED WINTER show back in September. 

I made a dog treat bag (containing gravy bones, MY dogs absolute fave) and I had the devil’s own job keeping my littlest Staffy (as seen in my profile pic) from grabbing them off the table when I took the photo.  Definitely a ‘get down Shep’ moment! J

Delightful Wednesday – Christmas!

Hello there! How is everyone? Hope no one was caught up in the terrible flooding in Cumbia! What a nightmare for those poor people.  My heart goes out to them!

So it is my turn today to post a Wednesday project on the DIGITAL DELIGHTS BLOG and Sandy and I have chosen Christmas as our theme for December.  No surprise there then! J  This is my last post for the DIGITAL DELIGHTS BLOG this year. L  I do adore Wendy’s fabulous images and Sandy and I have considered it an honour to have been able to showcase them using a different theme each month.

My stepper card features the gorgeous (and not very well coloured!!) CHRISTMAS SAFFI.  Gotta love that sweet little reindeer!  Maybe I should have given him a Rudolph nose!!

Thankfully this is another card that I can add to my ‘is-that-all-you’ve-made’ pile! I have to admit to being seriously behind in all my Christmas prep.  I haven’t made a single mince pie yet and that is very unusual for me.  I have normally scoffed half a dozen by now!!  My waistline is VERY grateful!! J

The Pencil Case - H = Heartfelt!

Hello! How is everyone? Good I hope!

For my make I used one of Nikky’s incredible colouring pages that can be found as part of the COLOUR THERAPY CLUB – MONTH 1 A .  There are also many other gorgeous bundles and complete colouring book collections to download HERE.  They are absolutely fab and I cannot recommend them highly enough (and I can’t stop using them either!!).

I know sometimes it can be a bit daunting colouring a page full of intricate design but there are no rules to say that you have to colour the entire thing.  In fact that is what I have done here; layering heart dies to spotlight areas and leave a small portion blank. 

OK so I have to say this looked soooo much better in my mind before I actually created it and does, in fact, look better IRL.  Designing is all about experimenting and pushing yourself beyond your comfort zone……I’ve learnt lessons; nuff said!! J

Good morning!  Hope all is well with you and yours! OMG it’s 1^st December! Just 24 sleeps to go people!! Have you been good? I’m panicking!! J

Now what depicts a more traditional Christmas than an image of Father Christmas?  (Well maybe dodgy festive jumpers and last minute panic buying but let’s focus on the positive here!!)  And I have to say that Nikky has drawn the most amazing vintage Santa I have ever seen! Isn’t he fab!!

I decided, for no other reason than I got the wrong card out of the cupboard (doh!), to print my images onto watercolour paper.  A happy accident as it turns out because I rather like the textured result.

This is the gorgeous SERENITY RESTING who is probably more suited to the spring or summer so I had to winter-fy her up a bit.  I gave her winter pansies in her hair and dressed her with sleeves and gloves and stuck her in a snowstorm.  Kind of me don’t you think!

Just wanted to take a moment.......

Now there really are some fabulously generous souls out there and non-more so than my uber talented friend Sammy who, after I made a comment about NEEDING the piano key washi tape that she used in her post HERE , only went and sent me some!!!
