Delightful Wednesday – Animals!

Hello there! So what day is it again?? Oh yes Wednesday and a Delightful one at that (see what I did there!)! Hmmm! Although when you look at the weather in the UK right now you may not say that!!

It is my turn today to show a project today on the DIGITAL DELIGHTS BLOG and the theme Sandy and I chose for September is Animals!

My choice of image this time is the just-wanna-cuddle-him JUBBLY PANDA!  I seem to be doing a bit of a JUBBLY ANIMALS mini-series but I do adore them so I will make no apologies!! J

I used Tonic layering dies to make my card blank and a couple of their floral dies to bodge up some bamboo!  This is my first attempt at colouring with my new LYRA PENCILS.  There is a huge buzz about these pencils on FB so, having got a bonus from work (I know; couldn’t work that one out myself!!) I decided to treat myself to some.  This was a HUGE mistake! They are so good and so easy to use that now I don’t want to use anything else!!

Ingredients:

Image: JUBBLY PANDA

Sentiment: JUNGLE BUDDIES SENTIMENTS SET

Dies: Tonic ‘Deco Geometric’ and 'Nesting Circles' and ‘Royal Fern’ and ‘Frond Finesse’ to make the bamboo

Paper/Card: Neenah Solar White – Kanban

Colouring: LYRA REMBRANDT POLYCOLOR PENCILS

So ‘panda’ to your crafty habit and pop over to the DIGITAL DELIGHTS BLOG where every day there is something to inspire you and don’t forget to visit the SHOP for all of Wendy’s cuter than cute designs!

Thanks so much for looking and for your great comments!  Have a wonderful day!

See ya!

Colourful hugs

Digi Choosday Challenge – Monochromatic!

Hello!  How are things?

So it’s Choosday which means it’s time for a new challenge over at DIGI CHOOSDAY and our theme this week is Monochromatic!  As always we have a fab prize on offer for our lucky winner so check out the BLOG for details and as it is also DISCOUNT DAY you need to grab the code to get money off in the POLKADOODLES SHOP! But be quick, it’s a limited offer and you do NOT want to miss out!! Spit spot!

So what did I manage to make this week.  Well my original idea was to use a completely different image and a completely different colour (red as it happens) but I went in a completely different direction (what a shock!)!  I went for blue instead and boy is this card blue!! J

One of my all-time faves of Nikky’s collections is DOLLIE DAYDREAM GOES EAST which contains some STUNNING papers (almost impossible to pick just one colour from this gorgeous range) but I do love this aqua blue shade so that’s what I went with.

The image is DOLLIE DAYDREAM GOES EAST - BACKPACK , she is just too cute and off to Paris apparently!

Ingredients:

Image (as a single B/W digi): DOLLIE DAYDREAM GOES EAST - BACKPACK

Image, Paper, Flowers & Sentiment: DOLLIE DAYDREAM GOES EAST

Letters: WINSTON DELUXE FULL COLLECTION

Dies: Spellbinders ‘Grand Scalloped Circles’ and ‘French Frills’ (Eiffel Tower) – Tonic ‘Nesting Ovals & Circles’ and ‘Arboreal Dream’

Card: Neenah Solar White

Colouring/Ink: Spectrum Noir markers and pencils

Others: Salty Ocean DI - Pearls

So don’t be blue (sorry but it’s never going to get any better) and pop over to THE BLOG where you can join in with this fab challenge.   And check out the STORE  too but don’t forget to grab the DISCOUNT CODE first to get your money off!!!

Thanks so much for looking and for being so generous with your comments! I’m so very grateful!  Have a lovely day!

I used the gorgeous pre-coloured ‘Fairy Door’ that is in the embellies section and made it large enough to create a card base. The robin looks shocked!! J

The Paper Nest Dolls Challenge #9!

Hello! How is everyone? Good I hope!

I had a pretty awful weekend as our water tank overflowed upstairs and came through my craft room ceiling and flooded one of the built in wardrobes and my craft desk!!! It managed to ruin a project and a pad of paper but thankfully that was it.  A minor miracle I have to say but the wardrobe full of clothes was a different story! What a mess.  But I am a 'glass-half-full' type of person so the washing machine worked overtime and we are 'almost' back to normal. Phew!!

Anyway, back to much more pleasant things and today launches our new monthly Anything Goes challenge over on THE PAPER NEST DOLLS CHALLENGE BLOG ! As always we have a fab prize to offer our winner so check out THE BLOG for all the details!

I used the oh-so pretty RIDING HOOD AVERY and my much used stepper die for my make this time.

I made an impulse buy (who me?!!) of a Papermania Capsule collection some time ago and it has this fab plaid paper in it which I thought would go very well with this image and her basket of goodies. There’s no sentiment on this one as I couldn't really find anything appropriate.  That could change though.

Can you spot the wolf lurking in the trees at the back?  Hmmmm! More silly than sinister methinks!! J

Ingredients:

Image: RIDING HOOD AVERY

Dies/Punches: Tattered Lace ‘Centre Stepper Set’ - Tonic ‘Nesting Ovals’ – Spellbinders ‘Whimsical Tree’ – X-Cut flower mini palm punch

Card: Neenah Solar White - Papermania

Colouring/Ink:  Spectrum Noir markers and pencils

Others: Acrylic drops – ribbon – Tonic Crystal Drops

Hopeless hand drawing: ‘Wolf’ eyes

Ooooh what big crafty eyes you have!! So take them along with you to join in our Anything Goes Challenge on THE BLOG where you will also see some stunning inspiration from the DT. And don’t forget to visit THE SHOP for all of Christine’s adorable stamps and now there are digis available too HERE!!

Thanks so much for looking and for your lovely comments and have a wonderful day!

See ya!
