Hello, how are things? Hope all you UK bods are enjoying
this glorious weather we’re currently having! Fab isn’t it! Best get my
toenails painted then!! J
I’m here today to let you know that there is a new challenge
starting over on the Chocolate, Coffee and Cards challenge blog and our theme this fortnight is Black, White
and 1 Other Colour!
Our sponsor this time is the wonderful A Day for Daises
and they very generously allowed the
DT to pick an image each to work with (what a task that was, I think I changed
my mind 8 times!!).
So in the end I chose the uber gorgeous Pearls in My Hair.
Now this design caused me quite a bit of heartache I must
say. Why? Well it was all because I finally had to cut up (sniff) my yummy
scrummy (sniff!) Eau de Nil papers (sniff!) from Papermania (blub!)! I have
looked at them, stroked them, ooed and aaahed over them for the past week or so
but always put them back safe and sound in the drawer! But not now! Oh no, I
brutally hacked 2 of them to pieces with my dies and guillotine! What a monster
I am!!!
Ingredients:
Dies/Punches: Tonic ‘Nesting Ovals’ & ‘Nesting
Rectangles’ – Crafty Individuals ‘In a Gilded Cage’ – X-cut mini butterfly palm
punch
Paper/Card: Neenah
Solar White - Papermania ‘Eau de Nil’ (may they forgive me) – American Crafts
Colouring/Ink: Spectrum
Noir markers and pencils – ‘Peacock Feathers’ DI
Others: White
Silky Crush ribbon – Liquid Pearls - Gems
I hope you will join us for this great challenge. Check out
the blog for all the wonderful DT inspiration and play along!
Thanks so much for looking and have a fabby day!
See ya!
Colourful hugs
Jane xx

Oh, Jane -- how beautiful - not just the color combination, but the entire scene is gorgeous and peaceful. Love the black and white layers, creating the dimension and magic in your design, and the details like the little bird perched on the bird cage are amazing. I always envy your ability to shade and create highlights.
