Cutie Pie Challenge Blog – April Showers Bring May Flowers

Hello, how are things?  The weather here in the UK has gone down the gurgler a bit! Hopefully it will return to sunnier skies soon. My fingers are crossed!

Today begins a brand new challenge at the Cutie PieChallenge Blog and our theme this fortnight is April Showers Bring May Flowers, so that’s a creation showcasing a CUTE image with showers or flowers!

This time we are sponsored by Crafty Ribbons, who are offering this to our lucky winner!

 I decided to use one of my inherited Tildas (for convoluted explanation please see my post here)  as I thought she would be perfect for the ‘April Showers’ part of the challenge!

I do love my die-cut flowers so I had to add those! And with the gorgeous patterned paper from LOTV that takes care of the ‘May Flowers’ part too!

Happy Birthday LOTV!

Hello! How are things!

I am here today not with a DT make but with a card I made to celebrate LOTV’s 10^th birthday in May.  It also doubles as a thank you card as, can you believe it, in the last two LOTV blog hops my name has been randomly picked to win some of their amazing stamps? I know!! Today I discovered I had won some of their gorgeous fairies and then last month I was the uber lucky recipient of all 7 of the new Annabel stamps! No way! Yes way!

So after I had stopped jumping up and down screeching unattractively when they arrived what did I do?  Well, being me I had to make life difficult for myself didn’t I and I decided that I wanted to make a card using all 7 Annabels! Yes all 7!! So that’s what I did.  You gotta love me, I‘m a trier!! :D   

What's the collective noun for a group of Annabels? Maybe it's a giggle! A giggle of Annabels! 

The card size started out as a whole A3 sheet of Centura Pearl folded in half but I managed to trim it down a little as I got the images to fit! Just!

She's an energetic little thing! Makes me exhausted just looking at her!

I made the ‘zero’ from a combination of Spellbinders and Tonic dies and the number ‘1’ is a hopeless hand drawing all be it with a ruler!

Ah, I can do this........

…….but probably not this! J

Hello!  So where is April going?  I can’t believe that it is Easter already but that means I am off for a few days so I am not complaining!  And then there’s the chocolate…………

So the time has come round again for the MilkCoffeeShowcase and the theme today is Dies & Punches! I’m not too sure if I have ever made a card without using dies or punches so this was an easy one for me.

So the MilkCoffee image I chose to use is the ever so chic Tiffany Get Her Daily Dose of Coffee available here, who I thought might enjoy a leisurely stroll through Paris whilst getting her caffeine fix! Well who wouldn't!

Cutie Pie Challenge Blog – Easter Bunnies On Anything But a Card!

Hello, how are things? Hope all is well in your world!

Today a new challenge begins over at the Cutie Pie ChallengeBlog and our theme this fortnight is Easter Bunnies On Anything But a Card!

We are fortunate to be sponsored by Meljen’s Designs

Meljen have some fabulous bunny images and I chose to use Fluffy Bunny available here, and he looked so cuddly I had to use him twice!

This is actually my attempt at an Easter bonnet! The base is cut using a Grand Nestie and the top part is made from a cheese triangle box stuck together top to bottom. Laughing Cow? You bet I did!! J

I put some green tissue paper through the shredder to make a nice bed for my Easter eggs! Well you must respect the chocolate!!

MilkCoffee Showcase – Vehicles

Hello, here I am again (good grief!) and this time with my DT post for the MilkCoffee Showcase and the showcase theme today is Vehicles.

The image I used is called Antique Bicycle With Flower Basket available here and I wanted to keep it all a bit simpler than my usual offering.

I printed the image onto the brand new Neenah cardstock from Crafters Companion called Desert Storm

which is a Kraft card especially created for colouring. Oooh ‘tis fab!  Great for using with your markers but this time I used my Spectrum Noir Pencils as I love them so much!

Ingredients:

Dies/Punches:  Very old X-Cut flower punch when they were boot shaped and blue!
