Delightful Wednesday – BROWN!

Hello there! Hope all is well with you and yours!

It is Delightful Wednesday on the DIGITAL DELIGHTS BLOG where Sandy and I have been showcasing Wendy’s awesome designs using a different colour each month.  So we picked BROWN to be our colour for June which gives me the perfect excuse to use kraft card…as if I ever needed one! J

This cutie is CELEBRATION CHARLIE and as he is a bit of a star I popped him onto a star card using Tonic dies. J

This is actually my last project for Digital Delights as, after nearly 2 years, I have decided to step down from the DT. I have had a fabulous time designing with Wendy’s wonderfully cute images but it is time to move on. I want to say a huge THANK YOU to Wendy and of course to my amazing DT sister Sandy too.  I will miss you loads! :’(

Delightful Wednesday – PURPLE!

It is Delightful Wednesday on the DIGITAL DELIGHTS BLOG where Sandy and I showcase Wendy’s awesome designs using a different colour each month.  Today and I am sharing the last of my May projects to feature the colour PURPLE, my favourite!!  

So my project today highlights two of the characters from Wendy’s WUNDERLAND COLLECTION, the fabulous WUNDERLAND HATTER and GRINNING CAT.

I coloured the WUNDERLAND HATTER to mimic the character Johnny Depp played in Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland. Bit scary I grant you. LOL

Delightful Wednesday – PURPLE!

Hello there! Me again! How is everyone?

It is Delightful Wednesday on the DIGITAL DELIGHTS BLOG today and I am sharing the first of my projects to feature the colour PURPLE which Sandy and I chose as our colour for May.

Now I have been dying to colour up this little beauty, the fab-u-lush STEAMPUNK TASHA in fact this card was completed a full 2 weeks before it was due that’s how keen I was!! I absolutely adore steampunk but never really get a chance to incorporate it into a design so I grabbed my chance with my project today.

I ended up making a DL card, which is another thing I rarely do, and was able to use some steampunky dies and a fab grunge stamp from Tim Holtz! Stamping is yet another thing I hardly ever do so this really did turn out to be a card of rarities!! J

Delightful Wednesday – Green!

Hello there! Me again! How is everyone?

It is my turn to post a Delightful Wednesday project on the DIGITAL DELIGHTS BLOG today and this is the last GREEN project that Sandy and I have to show you for March.

Oooh I do love the adorable range of Jubbly characters that Wendy has created (all of which you can see HERE) they are just toooo precious and this little lady is no exception.

I printed with slightly lighter lines that I usually do (OK, so my printer was running out of ink!!) and coloured her with my Lyras.

I kept things relatively simple as this will be winging its way to my Auntie in Lincolnshire.  I wanted something uber sweet and cheerful as she has had a terrible time of it lately and I was hoping that this would go some way to cheer her up.

Delightful Wednesday – Green!

Hello there! Me again! How is everyone?

It is my turn today to post a Delightful Wednesday project on the DIGITAL DELIGHTS BLOG and Sandy and I have chosen GREEN as our colour theme for March.

So March heralds springtime in the UK (wish someone would tell the weather that…it’s chuffing freezing!!)  It was St David’s Day yesterday, Mothering Sunday on 6^th, St Patrick's Day on 17^th, the clocks go forward on 20^th (‘the bad one’…please see the comedian Michael McIntyre for THAT explanation J), Easter is slotted in at the end and it just so happens to be my birthday today!! Phew!! It’s ALL happening!!!

So with all this in mind GREEN seemed entirely appropriate for our March theme and an appropriate image I believe is the gorgeously cute FLOWER POWER DAFFY!  Love her soooo much!!

Delightful Wednesday – Red!

Hello there! Me again! How is everyone?

It is my turn today to post a Delightful Wednesday project on the DIGITAL DELIGHTS BLOG and Sandy and I have chosen RED as our colour theme for February.

Now I have been itching to colour up this little beauty and her name is SWEETHEART FELICIA.  Isn’t she just ADORABLE!! She comes in varying guises and you can see them all HERE.

 I decided, in my wisdom (!), to add a little shaker element to my card this week.  I cut out the heart that Felicia is holding and filled it with seed beads and a few die-cut hearts.  This is only the second time I’ve ever made a shaker card and the reason for this became blindingly obvious as I am still vacuuming flamin’ seed beads out of my carpet!!! L

Delightful Wednesday – Blues!

Delightful Wednesday – Blues!

Hello there! How is everyone?

So the New Year brings a new theme for Delightful Wednesday at DIGITAL DELIGHTS and for 2016 Sandy and I have chosen to showcase Wendy’s awesome designs using a different colour each month.

So rather appropriately for the cold, dull month of January, and after the sparkle and fun (for some) of Christmas, we decided we felt a little Blue.  See what we did there!!!

To celebrate the New Year I made a pop-up box card using the super gorgeous MASQUERADE MARY and a sentiment from the WINTER TICKETS SENTIMENT SET.

We decided as a family not buy each other gifts this Christmas (except for our customary Secret Santa tradition) and so to get over the whole bah-humbug thing I bought myself a Brother ScanNCut!! I KNOW!!!  An extravagance that I am hoping not to regret at my leisure!  Anyway on its very first outing I used 2 of the pre-installed shapes to cut the bottle and glass and coloured and doodled on them to make them champagne worthy!!  The image and ticket is also cut using it.  No more fussy cutting! Result!!! J

Delightful Wednesday – Christmas!

Hello there! How is everyone? Hope no one was caught up in the terrible flooding in Cumbia! What a nightmare for those poor people.  My heart goes out to them!

So it is my turn today to post a Wednesday project on the DIGITAL DELIGHTS BLOG and Sandy and I have chosen Christmas as our theme for December.  No surprise there then! J  This is my last post for the DIGITAL DELIGHTS BLOG this year. L  I do adore Wendy’s fabulous images and Sandy and I have considered it an honour to have been able to showcase them using a different theme each month.

My stepper card features the gorgeous (and not very well coloured!!) CHRISTMAS SAFFI.  Gotta love that sweet little reindeer!  Maybe I should have given him a Rudolph nose!!

Thankfully this is another card that I can add to my ‘is-that-all-you’ve-made’ pile! I have to admit to being seriously behind in all my Christmas prep.  I haven’t made a single mince pie yet and that is very unusual for me.  I have normally scoffed half a dozen by now!!  My waistline is VERY grateful!! J
