Digi Choosday Challenge – Week 13: Ovals (think Easter)!

Hello!  How is everyone?  Well I hope!

It’s Choosday so it’s time for a new challenge over at DIGI CHOOSDAY and our theme this week is Ovals (think Easter)!  As always we have a fab prize on offer so check out the BLOG for details.

I can’t believe that Easter is just around the corner already! This year is really picking up speed isn’t it!  So for my project this week I chose to make an Easter bonnet/basket thingy using one of my fave of Nikky’s gorgeous downloads THE WINSTON FULL COLLECTION!  Oooh love all those lush papers!!! 

Anyway, I made something similar to this in a post here so thought I would give it another go using the cute little bird images that can be found in the collection.  I thought they looked a bit like Easter chicks so coloured them appropriately and had them bursting out of some eggs!  It’s no yoke (oh dearie me!) J

Hostess Monday at Digital Delights!

It’s Hostess Monday over on the Digital Delights blog today and it is my turn to be hostess!  Yikes!!  

I would like to show you an Easter card I made using the super cute March Cupcake Set!  I adore all the different cupcakes that Wendy has designed and you can find one for every month of the year either individually here or as a fab value set here.

I tried my hand at making a bunny using different oval dies!  I'm quite pleased with how he turned out but he does look a tad grumpy, even though he has a big cupcake all to himself!

Some Bunny Loves You – Oh Yes They Do!

Hello there! I’m back again!  3 posts in 3 days! Good grief I need to sit down!!

So comfortably seated I can tell you that today I am showcasing on The Paper Nest Dolls Challenge Blog and I am using the utterly gorgeous Some Bunny Loves You!

Such an adorable image and I believe totally appropriate for my project as you will see from the explanation below!! 

Now the other day I commented on a post here by me sweet blogging friend Sarah admiring the adorable crochet bunny she had made and DEMANDING she put him in the post to me IMMEDIATELY! Of course I was only joking but that is exactly what she did! OMG! I was knocked off my feet and so overwhelmed I’m not ashamed to say I shed a tear! He was sent to cheer me up after the nightmare I’ve had with my dogs (a semblance of peace has resumed I’m happy to say) and cheer me up he did.  He is currently proudly sitting on my desk at work marvelling at how little I get away with doing all day!!! (Trust me it’s a shocker!) J

And here is Jeremy (yes that’s his name and I have my reasons!!) atop the gorgeous box he arrived in! Isn't he fab and even better IRL (yes, Sarah, he does stand up to close inspection, he’s perfect!)!  LOVE HIM!!  Thank you so much, my friend!  You are a superstar! xxx

Delightful Wednesday – Girly Month

Hello there! I’m back again!!

Today it is my turn to post a Wednesday project on the Digital Delights blog and this month Sandy and I chose Girly as our theme.

I have used the fabulous Date Night Tiff for my card this time (love her glasses!) and I teamed her with a sentiment from the Birthday Sentiment Set.

Just a little A6 card this one.  I’m loving dinky cards at the moment and going through a bit of a pink phase too.  Not sure why!!

I made this for a friend of mine who is off to pick up a work-related award in London this week!  It’s a black tie do so she’s getting the posh frock out of mothballs for the occasion! How fab!

I don’t often use lace on my projects, not that I don’t own a drawer full of it you understand, but it is just because I associate lace with a more vintage style and I rarely do vintage (I’m vintage enough as it is!!!).

So for my DL card I looked to the gorgeous Rose Budd Full Collection for my inspiration as it has a fabulous Regency feel.  The pretty Miss Millicent is part of that collection but is also available individually and I coloured her in sepia tones to complete the look!
