Delightful Wednesday – Animals!

Hello there! Hope you are well! Loving this fab weather we are having in the UK right now! I may even get the BBQ out!!

It is my turn today to show a Wednesday project on the DIGITAL DELIGHTS BLOG and the theme Sandy and I chose for September is Animals!

So I am concluding my JUBBLY ANIMALS ‘mini-series’ with the super cute JUBBLY LION. 

I thought he might appreciate being back in the ‘wild’ so I created a little jungle setting for him in a pop-up box.

Awww just look at him. Isn't he fab!!   I have to say that he does rather look as if he has left his rollers in, you know in a Hilda Ogden stylee.  But apparently that is the way to get a fabulous curly mane these days!! Probably uses Pantene as well bless him!! J

The Paper Nest Dolls – Tree Dress Avery!

Delightful Wednesday – Animals!

Hello there! So what day is it again?? Oh yes Wednesday and a Delightful one at that (see what I did there!)! Hmmm! Although when you look at the weather in the UK right now you may not say that!!

It is my turn today to show a project today on the DIGITAL DELIGHTS BLOG and the theme Sandy and I chose for September is Animals!

My choice of image this time is the just-wanna-cuddle-him JUBBLY PANDA!  I seem to be doing a bit of a JUBBLY ANIMALS mini-series but I do adore them so I will make no apologies!! J

I used Tonic layering dies to make my card blank and a couple of their floral dies to bodge up some bamboo!  This is my first attempt at colouring with my new LYRA PENCILS.  There is a huge buzz about these pencils on FB so, having got a bonus from work (I know; couldn’t work that one out myself!!) I decided to treat myself to some.  This was a HUGE mistake! They are so good and so easy to use that now I don’t want to use anything else!!

Hello!  How are things?

So what did I manage to make this week.  Well my original idea was to use a completely different image and a completely different colour (red as it happens) but I went in a completely different direction (what a shock!)!  I went for blue instead and boy is this card blue!! J

One of my all-time faves of Nikky’s collections is DOLLIE DAYDREAM GOES EAST which contains some STUNNING papers (almost impossible to pick just one colour from this gorgeous range) but I do love this aqua blue shade so that’s what I went with.

Polkadoodles Octavia Frosted Winter – Gingerbread Hanger!

Hello!  Sick of me yet? (Don’t answer that!!)

So I am sneaking back to continue showcasing the super beautiful new collection from POLKADOODLES called OCTAVIA FROSTED WINTER which you would have seen presented by our lovely Nikky Hall on CREATE AND CRAFT. Trust me it is a must-have!

So I created a wall hanger for my next project using more of the amazing embellies.  Aren’t those gingerbread people the cutest and that mug of hot chocolate looks fab! Emma and Cara made fabulous shaped cards using this super versatile image that you just have to see!

There are some amazing chalkboard sentiments in this collection too so I had to use one.  Adore these!!

Hello!  Don’t panic, it’s just me! J

So I am back to continue showcasing the super beautiful new collection from POLKADOODLES called OCTAVIA FROSTED WINTER which you would have seen presented by our fabulous Nikky Hall on CREATE AND CRAFT on Tuesday. It’s a must-have let me tell you!!

So onto a card that you may have actually seen on the programme!! Oh yes! Nikky very kindly picked this card up to show. I know!! Have to admit that I did get a bit giddy and may have squealed embarrassingly Not admitting to anything!), much to the amusement of my dogs!! J

I used the gorgeous pre-coloured ‘Fairy Door’ that is in the embellies section and made it large enough to create a card base. I cut out the window and used more of the fabulous images to build a cosy Christmas living room scene inside and a ‘wow-check-out-how-many-pressies-have-been-delivered’ scene outside. The robin looks shocked!! J

Hello!  Hope this finds you well! We are starting to get back to normal in my house after our water tank fiasco last week. I can actually use my craft room again!!  Thank you so much for your kind comments, it was VERY much appreciated.

It’s a corker!!!

The first card I made is one of my fave shapes a diorama/shadow box/theatre card thingy (not its real name) that I created using the wonderful pre-coloured images.

The Paper Nest Dolls Challenge #9!

Hello! How is everyone? Good I hope!

I had a pretty awful weekend as our water tank overflowed upstairs and came through my craft room ceiling and flooded one of the built in wardrobes and my craft desk!!! It managed to ruin a project and a pad of paper but thankfully that was it.  A minor miracle I have to say but the wardrobe full of clothes was a different story! What a mess.  But I am a 'glass-half-full' type of person so the washing machine worked overtime and we are 'almost' back to normal. Phew!!

I used the oh-so pretty RIDING HOOD AVERY and my much used stepper die for my make this time.

There’s no sentiment on this one as I couldn't really find anything appropriate.  That could change though.

So being a dog lover ( I have 3..oh heck)  I just had to go for the uber cute JUBBLY DOG for my project this time.

 I decorated a Kraft crate to make a doggie treat box which was emptied of its contents of gravy bones about 5 minutes after I took my photo....

....not by me I might add!!
