Hello, I’m back to let you know that there is a new challenge starting today over on the Chocolate, Coffee and Cards challenge blog. And I’m letting you know because I was asked to become a DT member. Yipeee!
Lovely boss lady Joanne emailed me and I did not hesitate to say yes. What an awesome privilege to be part of another talented team. Wow, how lucky am I! Someone pinch me! (Not hard though please, I bruise easily!)
My fellow teamie Sam (check out her amazing creations here, she is a colourist supreme) recommended me, thank you lovey you are a star, and I have been grinning ever since!
So enough waffle from me what did I make for my first DT post?
Well this is a sketch challenge and here it is.
A fab layout don’t you think, no matter what your style is.
Well we had some beautiful images from our sponsor Whoopsi Daisy to work with and I used this gorgeous lady on a garden swing. See her here in their shop.
I printed my image onto Neenah Solar card and coloured her with my Pro & Flexmarkers (not very well I have to say (Sam, I need help!), adding Flowersoft to the tree for a ‘blossom’ look.
The papers are LOTV Country Lady, rather appropriate I thought, and I matted with brown card and distressed to give a vintage feel.
I followed the sketch to the letter and did not add much embellishment apart from the crochet lace ribbon and some pearls.
I have a couple of occasions coming up that this would be appropriate for so I will add my sentiment when I’ve decided.
I hope you will join us at Chocolate, Coffee and Cards. It’s a great sketch and so easy to follow. Check out the blog for all the wonderful DT inspiration and play along!
See ya!
Scribbly hugs
Jane xx

You don't need any help with colouring lol it is always gorgeous, I swear mines still just a fluke when it comes out well lol. PS - I don't think Skeggy can have changed much in years! Still got the Pier, lights, clock tower roundabout and loads of fish & chip shops!!! So whereabouts in Lincs are you from, if you don't mind me asking? We live just down the road from Skeg - near Sutton-on-Sea.
Wow this is stunning. Fabulous image and colouring. Love the distressed edges.
