Cutie Pie Challenge Blog – Love & Marriage!

Hello, how are things?  Boy has it been hot & humid here in this part of the UK!! And the thunderstorms, wow! Not my favourite kind of weather I have to say! My brain seems to shut down in anything over 22c! Bit unfortunate then! J

So on to happier things today launches a brand new challenge over at the Cutie Pie Challenge Blog  and our theme this fortnight is Love & Marriage! Which apparently goes together like a horse and carriage! Who’d have thought!!

Now I attempted one of those card-in-a-box thingamajigs that I have seen all over the place as I wanted this to be for my brother and his wife to celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary!  They are both fascinated by anything even remotely kinetic so I though this would be perfect for them. I got the instructions from the July edition of Cardmaking & Papercraft Magazine and it was a cinch to make. The hardest part was cutting out my stamped image as I am absolutely hopeless with a pair of scissors! I bring a whole new meaning to ‘fussy cutting’!  It’s a shocker!! K
Ingredients:
Stamps: Crafters Companion Makey Bakey Mice ‘Wedding Day’ - sentiment from Kanban - Champagne Glasses as old as the hills!
Dies: Sizzix ‘Heart Framelits’ – SB ‘Ribbon Banners’
Punches: X-Cut Small Heart Palm Punch
Paper/Card: Neenah Solar White – Papermania ‘Oyster Blush’ – American Crafts
Colouring/Ink: Spectrum Noir markers & pencils
Others: Thickers glitter numbers - Acetate, pearls & bows from stash

    Jane, this is cute, lovely, fun and full of joy! Erm... Is this a box or flat card you open and then all at once it is a box? Never tried one, looks complicated. Yours is adorable. :)
