It is my turn today to show a Wednesday project on the DIGITAL DELIGHTS BLOG and the theme Sandy and I chose for August is Fantasy/Fairy Tales!

My choice of image this time is the utterly fabulous GENIE SCOTTIE who I added to a stepper card along with the MAGICAL DAY SENTIMENT.

I created my scene using bauble dies as I thought they looked very much like Eastern buildings and found an old magic lamp Clip Art image that I have had for yonks!! Go me!

Well I chose to use the very arresting (!) POLICEMAN PETE for my manly make this week and taking elements from WORK AND PLAY 3 I created a little crime scene. “Nothing to see here people;  move along please!!”

Our super cute lawman has expertly tackled the criminal who is currently lying unconscious on the floor ruing the day he ever came up against PETE.  Serves him right quite frankly!

Another dodgy drawing from me that does look rather like the legs and boots of Frankenstein’s monster!! Hey ho! J

Delightful Wednesday – Fantasy/Fairy Tales!

Hello there! Hope all is well with you and yours!

It is my turn today to show a Wednesday project on the DIGITAL DELIGHTS BLOG and the theme Sandy and I chose for August is Fantasy/Fairy Tales!

I used the gorgeous DELIGHTFUL SNOW which is a great value set as it comes with the toadstool for Snow to sit on and a sentiment too! I decided to make a diorama/shadow box/theatre card thingy (not its real name) to create a little woodland scene.

I thought it might be nice to add the seven dwarves too, all of which are played with gusto by MR GNOME who is also available for children’s parties and supermarket openings!!! J Does look a tad crowded in there though doesn't it!!

Bet you can spot them all!  Well it's not exactly ‘Where’s Wally’ is it?!

I decided to decorate and embellish an MDF plaque which I stole pinched borrowed from my mother’s stash to make a wall hanging! She did say, “Oooh I have an MDF shape like that” to which I said (but not out loud), “Not anymore you don’t!!!” J

Now my image this week is part of the JULY NEW RELEASE and her name is ARTIST EMMA! What a sweetheart!  I suppose to embrace the spirit of the subject matter I should have made an ‘easel’ card, but I didn’t. Hey ho!

I wandered a little out of my comfort zone with this one.  I used my Aqua Tints to create ‘painty’ backing papers and coloured EMMA and a splodgey background with Inktense Pencils which I haven’t used for ages.  Hmmm… more practice methinks!

It is unfortunate that Emma’s artistic skills were very much reliant on my own so I don’t really rate her ‘effort’ as seen on my homemade easel (more Pitiful then Picasso).  But she did try, bless her so you gotta luv her for that!!! J
