Hey, hope all is well with you and yours.
Today I would like to share a card incorporating my
favourite colour combo of all time. Lilac/purple and aqua/turquoise. I cannot explain it but these colours make me
happy so as I have had a nightmare migraine this weekend I thought I ought to
cheer myself up.
The image is my current obsession which is anything drawn by
the amazing Krista Smith, and this one is Canary Love. So gorgeous.
I hope I have done her justice with my colouring as I used my new
Spectrum Noir pens (liking them a lot!) but I’m still getting used to the range
of colours.
I paper pieced her dress using several different papers from
my favourite pad from LOTV which is the NitWit Collection called ’Promises’
(yum, yum) and added shade with my pens. I even cut out a flower and put that in her hair. Not too sure if the paper piecing is overly obvious, I’ll give you a
close up just in case.
I cut my image out using Spellbinder Labels 17 and cut a
couple more in the complimentary colours to add a layered ’shadow’ behind. The ‘Promises’ paper was also used in the background
with a Spellbinders A2 Bracket Border cut along the edge to add interest.
The frame is made from paper clay and a Martha Stewart mould
and I coloured it with Dusty Concord and Peacock Feather DI’s, with a dash of
Stickles for good measure. The sentiment
is from Dawn Bibby and quite appropriate for the image I thought.
So there you are, flat backed pearls and ribbon say ‘card
done’!
See ya!
Smiling always (!)!
Scribbly hugs
Jane xx

Oh fabulous Jane, really fabulous! I have a whole heap of SC digis, but after colouring a few chickened out of colouring anymore - they are just so detailed! So you are much braver than me!!!
ReplyDeleteHope the migraine is going, I suffer from those as well (thankfully fewer now than when I was younger) so I sympathise.
