Chocolate, Coffee & Cards – Halloween!

Happy Halloween everyone! Waaaaaaahhhhhhhaaaaa! Blimey I scared myself then!!

So here I am again as we have a new challenge at Chocolate, Coffee and Cards  with a very appropriate theme! Yes it's Halloween! So get a bit creepy and show us some spooktacular makes!  But do remember that we are a CARD ONLY challenge! We'll be round to haunt you if you get that wrong!! J

This time we are sponsored by the incredible Rick St Dennis
And there is a fab prize up for grabs for one lucky winner so check out the blog for details!

Rick very generously let the DT each pick an image for this challenge (thank you) and I went for the gorgeously mysterious and not too wicked Mystique! Love her fabulous hat!

Ok so I even shocked myself with my craziness this time! This is, in essence , the second in my ‘Dressing Table Series’ (I’m not really doing a series, it’s just the second one of these I've done but that sounds quite arty so I'm going with it! J ) I originally made a Vintage version here.

I have to say I’m not that keen on horror (you've seen my creations you may disagree!!) but I do love Halloween. Maybe because I associate it with family as we always get together for a little party that we have affectingly called ‘Spooky Food Night’! It was so named as the party food was all gross out stuff like sausages on sticks that looked like severed fingers and fruit gum snakes and spiders in the punch! Nowadays it’s just a takeaway with a lighted pumpkin on the table! I sort of miss those severed fingers {sigh}!

Ingredients:
Image: Mystique
Dies: Spellbinders ‘Labels 1’ & ‘Fleur De Lis Squares’
Silhouette Cuts: Spider, cauldron & cobweb
Stamps: Cat free with mag - perfume bottle by See-D Stamps
Paper/Card: Neenah Desert Storm – LOTV ‘Father Knows Best’ & ‘Antebellum’
Colouring/Ink: Spectrum Noir markers & pencils – Walnut Stain DI
Others: Foil shapes – Kebab stick & fringed Kraft card to make the broom – Liquid Pearls
Hopeless Hand drawings: (Brace yourself, there’s a few!) Pumpkin on perfume bottle, skull and candle, spell book with spider, bubbles from cauldron, a couple of dodgy dangly spiders, ghost and skeletal hand!

So get your spook on and creep over to see what my fabulous teamies have done for this challenge and play along!

Thanks so much for looking and have a good day!
See ya!

Colourful hugs

Delightful Challenge Thursday –Colour My World!

Hello how are things? Hope everyone is well!

Today launches a brand new challenge over at the Delightful Challenge Blog and our theme this week is Colour My World, so we would like you to use your favourite colour please!

We are sponsored by the wonderful
who are offering a fabulous prize!

So what’s my favourite colour! Well I have LOTS of favourites!  But top of my list has to be purple/lilac!  I even had purple hair in my last year at school! No photos survive thank goodness!! It’s surprising how well they went through the shredder!!J  Yes they did have cameras in ‘those days’! Bloomin’ cheek!!
So to my make for the challenge and I chose to use the GORGEOUS Christmas Saffi and Christmas Sentiment Set and I used a fold back card blank from Kanban which I embossed.
I adore this image and I thought Saffi had the kind of expression on her face that warranted a snowflake on her nose!! Oooh!

Ingredients:
Dies: Spellbinders ‘Labels 17’ – Memory Box ‘Flowering Christmas Tree’ – Joy & All Occasions snowflakes
Punches: Tonic mini snowflakes
Paper/Card: Neenah Solar White – Kanban card blank - glitter card – American Crafts

Now Pink Gem Designs very generously allowed the DT to pick their own image for this challenge and I chose Mistletoe Kisses which comes with its own sentiment!
A simple design this one.  I thought I would make a teeny snow globe card using Tonic Nesting Circles for the dome and Labels 22 cut in half for the base!

Hostess Monday at Digital Delights

Ok, so it’s Hostess Monday over on the Digital Delights blog and your ‘Hostess with the Mostest’ today is me! Wow, my first one so I will try not to mess it up!
I would like to show you a card I made for one of my work colleagues who left on promotion recently! Now he is a true Boy Scout. I kid you not. So the images I chose to use for him, from the Happy Campers Coordinating Set, were perfect!  I also used ‘Good Luck’ from the School Sentiment Set too.
This is what a love about stamps, the way you can personalize them to fit the recipient. The scarf is in his troop colours and what with the freckles and red hair it looks just like him! Of course you'll have to take my word for that one!! Although I do have to admit that, in real life, he is quite a bit taller!! J

Ingredients:
Dies: Spellbinders ‘Ribbon Banners’- Die'sire 'Picket Fence' - Memory Box 'Puffy Clouds'
Paper/Card: Neenah Solar White – LOTV 'Bonnets & Bowties Solids'
Colouring/Ink: Spectrum Noir markers and pencils
Others: Cocktail stick!

Scout out all of Wendy’s INCREDIBLE images in the shop here! You never know you may find one that looks just like someone you know!!

Thanks so much for looking, and have a lovely day!
See ya!

Good morning everyone, hope all is well with you and yours!

Our challenge is sponsored by
who are offering a terrific prize of a $15 store certificate!

I personally really love Halloween! I was introduced to the whole fun side of it years ago by some American friends. It was just an excuse to have a party and dress up in spooky costumes really! When you think about it who needs an excuse for that!! J J
So the image I chose to use is the totally fabulous Sorceress Samantha and I made one of those box card thingies.
I think I have said many, many times how much I love digis. Soooo versatile and I love how you can change the size and flip them around and that is what I did here. I also used one of the many great cut files Wendy has to offer in the shop.

Ingredients:
SVG Delightful Cuts: Halloween Time Cutting File Set
Dies: Tonic ‘Nesting Circles’ - Sue Wilson 'Spanish Collection Tag' - Spellbinders 'Cherry Blossom'
Paper/Card: Neenah Solar White –various from stash
Colouring/Ink: Spectrum Noir markers and pencils
Others: Silhouette Portrait - Bats from another cut file – ‘Dusty Concord’ DI - Crafters Companion 'Bubble' embossing folder
Hopeless Hand drawings: Ghost (can you spot him??)

So grab that broom and fly over to the Delightful Challenges Blog to see the fab designs created by the DT and don't forget to visit the shop where Wendy’s amazing images will put a spell on you!!! J
